天津日报报业集团社长兼总编张建星简介
张建星，男，山西忻州人，1958年3月15日生于天津。1983年秋毕业于天津师大中文系。同年分至天津日报社工业部作记者。一年半后任记者部主任，30岁进入编委会。先后被破格评为主任记者、高级记者。1995年任副总编辑，同年被评为国务院有突出贡献中青年专家。1997年中央党校中青班学习一年，1997－1999年中央党校法学研究生毕业。1999年3月任总编辑，2000年任社长、总编辑。2003年9月兼任天津市委宣传部副部长。
中国记协常务理事。天津市记协副主席。全国报纸自办发行协会会长。中国新闻摄影学会副会长。天津新闻摄影学会会长。天津市青联副主席。清华大学国际传播研究中心客座研究员。中国传媒大学博士生导师。南开大学文学院客座教授。天津财经学院MBA客座教授。新闻作品多次获全国好新闻及中国新闻奖一、二、三等奖，十余次获天津市好新闻一等奖。散文及报告文学曾获全国奖。1994年获中国新闻界最高奖——第二届范长江新闻奖。

* 全球化背景带来的是信息全球化，没有防火墙，带来的是共同的语境，带来的是世界正在走向融合。现在不是我要吃掉你，你要吃掉我，尤其从信息上讲是你要渗透我，我要渗透你，你拥有我，我拥有你。我们的纸还是不是权威纸，信息还是不是有效信息。现在的媒体已经发生从吸引力到控制力的巨变，大家要特别关注全球化问题。
* 保持报纸的先进性首先要保持的是内容的先进性，准确地描述社会生活变化，提供这些变化的背景分析，突出这些变化中具有历史意义的细节，倡导先进的公义理念，代言最大多数人的利益。

他站在集团大楼外，天津卫的阳光倾洒而下打在大楼的巨幕玻璃前庭，折射出通透晶莹的光线，近百米长的水晶长墙分隔着大沽南路、围堤道、尖山路上的车流，一时间，仿佛天津卫所有的光影人事都汇聚于广场对开的马路上。遥遥望去，天津的地标建筑，高耸的天津电视塔对峙而立。
“来看看，从这个角度看上去，像不像一艘巨舰？快来看，这块石头是上元古界地层剖面的叠层石。”对张建星来说，这栋大楼前的广场就像他一手布置的丁香满庭院般，每每向来访的客人介绍时，总洋溢着兴奋的自家自豪感。
他独踞一方，与此同时，他觉得自己和自己的报业集团还不够出名；他是前锋线上的杀手，与此同时，他在报社内紧抓不放的是财务大权，后卫心态；他是深得晋商精髓的传媒商人，与此同时，他是津门的舆论导向把手。他是此处的主人，天津日报报业集团的社长兼总编辑。

张建星：自己与自己交锋的人（2）
第一次交锋：与新闻的交锋、与现实的交锋
这是一张黑白照片：29岁的张建星，胡子拉碴，穿着已经皱巴巴的军装，脖子上随意搭条满是汗水的毛巾，疲惫地站在树林丛中，一手重重地拄着可能是用来扑火的木棍，另一只手却又是轻柔地扶着细弱的树枝。
这是1987年震惊国人的大兴安岭特大山火事件中的一张现场照片，照片中人是随军记者张建星。在拍照时，他戴上一副墨镜掩盖了在长时间与山火的搏斗和新闻的采写后的疲惫，他写道：“我们困倦或感到疲惫，我们希望超脱或希望喘息片刻的时候，我们的记者梦也许就完了。”那时，他是一个疯狂的记者，每日4个版上常常就有5篇稿子来自他，后来报社规定，每天张建星的稿件最多只能署名三篇，其他得用笔名。他还抱着氧气袋在西藏采访42项援藏工程，被报社领导认为有“作秀”之嫌，中途招回。
“一个不肯安静的灵魂，一支不肯停顿的笔，然后，才是一个优秀的记者。”这是张建星对“记者”天性的领悟。1994年的一天晚上，《新闻联播》播发了他获得“范长江新闻奖”的消息，张建星兴奋得跳起来，一把抱住了他白发苍苍而久病缠身的母亲。
“那是我刚当记者的一个寒冷的初冬，赶发完新闻稿，已是深夜两点。骑车回家，将至最后一个丁字路口的时候，我恍惚看到路灯下有一个人影。是母亲！没有想到母亲深夜等我。我知道母亲的惦记，她不知道报社的电话，也不会打电话。她只有站在被寒风灌满的街口，耐着寒冷，也耐着焦灼等着她的儿子平安回家（张建星《写给母亲》）。”这是1983年寒冷的初冬，张建星的传媒事业才刚刚起步，这一幕在他眼前浮现时，或许亦是他投身这个事业永远的原动力。
他说：我选择这个事业，正是因为我所从事的事业永远不会是平淡的，每个时代都有石破天惊的故事，一个记者怎么可能进入禅般的平淡和从容呢？我们必须追随这个时代，我们必须是参与者，而不是旁观者。
“说来惭愧，我对文字最初的热爱是极功利的。”张建星所说的“功利”其实指的是：出生穷困家境的他，13岁便发现写字可以赚钱，“写一部书可以给50元钱。50元钱啊！妈妈该会多高兴！”于是，他用捡来的传单开始写长篇小说《风浪里的人们》。后来，他写的小诗被学校刊物发表，“我那几乎没有文化的父亲，背着我拿到他工作的小学，向那些根本看不起他这个（因‘文革’影响被迫成为）看门人的小学教师们展示。”张建星说他迷上新闻业，某种程度上是感到“一种难以拒绝的黑色诱惑”——那些生活中的不平！那些人群中的污浊！
张建星以写社会问题和揭露性报道起家，一部纪实文学《魔鬼市场》则显示其新闻洞察力更令其作品进入新闻教程，在《天津日报》开设的《今早相会》社会随笔专栏令其树立了一个敢写敢言的“名记者”形象。
作家蒋子龙有此评价：“张建星其实是在呼唤社会构建新的人格。他的这份真挚却建设在对社会生活充满现代主义的调侃上。这种披坚执锐的侃劲，是风格，也是他受欢迎的原因。现代世界似乎格外适应这种风格。张建星也似乎天生要和这个时代相会……”
“我们生逢一个幸运的时代。”张建星总在他的文章和言论中强调此点。在与这个幸运时代的交锋中，他与现实交锋，与新闻业交锋，早已锋芒毕露。
张建星：自己与自己交锋的人（3）
第二次交锋：商人的交锋、与媒体的交锋，绝处逢生
张建星正要从1层上他位于16层的办公室，电梯内的电梯小姐连忙向他问好，大楼六部电梯都设有专职电梯员，这是天津日报的独特一景。张建星倒是眼光敏锐，有次，他发现有个开电梯的女孩手里捧着一本《第一次亲密接触》，这样的景象令他触动，更写进了他为2001年8月8日创刊《假日100天》而写的创刊辞中。
1601室，门外，竟然没有任何标识显示这是集团社长兼总编辑的房间。惟一能联想的只是，此层位于整栋大楼的中间位置显示着这间办公室的核心地位。一入办公室就能看到金庸为张建星的题词字幅：“天上有颗天津星，天津有颗报业星”。
张建星经常会客的地方如今并不在这个办公室里面，而是转到他在大厦前厅隔层开设的咖啡厅中。在这个他为集团营造的私家咖啡厅上能俯瞰楼下的车水马龙、遥望天津电视塔，感觉斐然。张建星指着那条迎面而来的围堤道笑着说：“有风水大师跑过来看了指出这大楼的位置不好，迎面而来的路和车相冲，而且钱财都流到两边去了。”
张建星是山西忻州人。他直言有晋商底蕴，他崇尚“掌柜负责制”，高考数学仅得5分，非财务专业出身的他，竟然在分派集团核心人员的工作时，自己选择亲自管理财务；他崇尚“人身顶股制”，晋商那种通过人身股，把店员个人利益与商号利益、财东利益紧密联系在一起的做法被他应用于集团�
